The swype made it easier to compose messages and moreover it is fun to play with swype. But what happens in my daily life is most of the time I use Google Chrome to surf the web and not getting enough time to read and reply to my text messages in time.

Recently I came across a cool application that makes it possible to Send and receive SMS text messages from your computer using your current phone number through your Android ™ phone. Isn’t it cool ? Yes, the app is Texter (previously Texty)

Once you install the Texter Android(tm) App & Chrome Extension, you will be able to:

1) Send SMS text messages from your computer

2) Receive SMS text messages immediately as they come in on your Android(tm)  device

3) Sync all SMS text messages from your Android device to your computer

You can still send/receive texts on your phone as you normally would.

Texter is in a private beta as of June 2011.

Most bloggers interpreted it wrong and stated Honeycomb is coming to smartphones and the rumor spread like wildfire.!
What you can do now is wait for the official release for gingerbread or get satisfied with an Android3.0 theme.

Isn’t it so frustrating to see your smartphone struggling to execute the softwares that  are simplest of its kind ? I used to take lectures for hours, without any break, why Galaxy S is the best and reasons why other phones sucks. It all ends when someone curiously dives in, trying to open gallery, phone book and 2 more apps and says “dude.. your phone is not responding”. And obviously it is so embarrassing when it comes to my mind that this crap has almost left my bank account empty and brings disgrace most of the time. WTF!

Yes, we must accept that Samsung Galaxy S (SGS) is really slow after froyo update. At the same time galaxy ace and tab seems to be working super fast. Oh god how to fix this..?

Multi-tasking was one cool feature that always made us superior to iOS. But what happens when the apps you don’t even want starts to run in background and consumes your memory ?

Advanced task killer comes to your rescue now. Install it, and Kill the tasks you don’t want. Also add its widget for quick access.

Be a minimalist, say good bye to extravagant animations.

Disable live wallpapers, animation effects, unwanted widgets, buddies now etc and make SGS severely simple. You can disable animation effects from Settings > Sound and Display > Animation > No Animation. Do it. You will never regret!
These methods made considerable boost in performance to my Galaxy S I9000.

If you are still using froyo (android 2.2), update it to Gingerbread (V2.3.3) you could feel a drastic change in performance. After Gingerbread update, without even lag fix, Galaxy S performs super-fast and it is rare to come across force close and hang ups .
