I really enjoy texting using my Galaxy S. The swype made it easier to compose messages and moreover it is fun to play with swype. But what happens in my daily life is most of the time I use Google Chrome to surf the web and not getting enough time to read and reply to my text messages in time.

Recently I came across a cool application that makes it possible to Send and receive SMS text messages from your computer using your current phone number through your Android ™ phone. Isn’t it cool ? Yes, the app is Texter (previously Texty)

Once you install the Texter Android(tm) App & Chrome Extension, you will be able to:

1) Send SMS text messages from your computer

2) Receive SMS text messages immediately as they come in on your Android(tm)  device

3) Sync all SMS text messages from your Android device to your computer

You can still send/receive texts on your phone as you normally would.

Texter is in a private beta as of June 2011.
